Am told by trusted sources this "had nothing to do with performance on the field or lack thereof."
I don't know if there was any one specific incident that led to this. I'm told there isn't anything like an arrest we don't know about or a Jackie Shipp like incident. Maybe more of a pattern of behavior that just finally went too far.
As has been posted by a few people on here, I've heard for a year that players didn't really like playing for Cross. His interviews often came across as throwing them under the bus.
I still come back to "Why didn't this happen before the year?" And I don't really know. Again, I can't tell you for sure that some specific incident led to this, but logic tells me SOMETHING had to happen, especially because people I absolutely trust are saying this wasn't about performance on the field.
As always, it's easy for us all to sit here and judge what should be done and how things should be handled. But we're doing it with incomplete information. Maybe we'll learn more on the teleconference with Odom tomorrow, but I would be a little bit surprised if we did to be honest.
