Mizzou and South Carolina about 15 minutes away. Ticket guy told me it's the biggest walk up crowd he can remember. Seats nowhere near full yet, but a steady stream of folks outside. I'll update the progress as we go.
Freshman Tanner Houck takes the mound for Mizzou. He is 3-1 with a 3.21 ERA on the season. He has given up 28 hits and struck out 29 in 33 2/3 innings.

BOTTOM OF THE FIRST
Tigers go in order. No score to the 2nd.
TOP OF THE 2ND
DC Arendas drives in a run with a 2-out single. Max Schrock follows with one of his own. 2-0 Gamecocks, Houck has given up five hits and gotten five outs.
Houck gets Kyle Martin to ground out to first. 2-0 Gamecocks mid-2nd.
BOTTOM OF THE SECOND
Tigers get their first hit, a single by Zach Lavy, but strand him. 2-0 Carolina after 2.
TOP OF THE THIRD
Quick 1-2-3 inning by Houck, still 2-0 Carolina to the bottom of the 3rd.
BOTTOM OF THE THIRD
Tigers go in order. Sailing along, 2-0 Gamecocks.
TOP OF THE FOURTH
Houck gives up a harmless two-out single, but gets out of it. 2-0 still mid 4.
BOTTOM OF THE FOURTH
Tigers in order again. Jack Wynkoop has his season ERA below 2 and it's still 2-0.
TOP OF THE FIFTH
Infield single and a stolen base, but the Gamecocks strand the runner. 2-0 halfway through.
BOTTOM OF THE FIFTH
Carolina left fielder makes a diving catch, then a strikeout, then a great play by the third baseman. Tough inning for Mizzou. 2-0 to the 6th.
TOP OF THE SIXTH
Review underway on a ball down the line by SC. We all thought it was pretty clearly fair, but the ump called it foul.
And after review they say it was foul.
South Carolina doesn't score. Remains 2-0.
BOTTOM OF THE SIXTH
Logan Pearson singles to lead the inning off and Brett Peel lines a one-out single to center. Tigers have 2 on, 1 out, their first legit threat of the day.
Jake Ring drags a bunt and beats the pitcher to the bag. Tigers have the bases loaded with one out for Ryan Howard.
Howard grounds into a 6-4-3 double play. Hit it pretty hard, but nicely played by the Gamecocks. 2-0 to the 7th.
TOP OF THE SEVENTH
1-2-3 goes South Carolina. 2-0 at stretch time.
BOTTOM OF THE SEVENTH
Attendance announced a little over 2000.
Josh Lester starts the Tiger 7th with a base hit. Brett Bond with one of his own. Runners at the corners, nobody out.
Lavy drives in a runner with a fielder's choice. One on, one out, 2-1 Carolina.
Harris lines to center, Pearson grounds to first. Inning over, 2-1 South Carolina.
TOP OF THE EIGHTH
Tanner Houck strikes out the side, he's got seven on the day and is probably done at more than 100 pitches. 2-1 South Carolina to the bottom of the 8th.
BOTTOM OF THE EIGHTH
After a one-out single by Brett Peel, South Carolina lifts Wynkoop for Vince Fiori, a junior left-hander. Wynkoop goes 7.1, 1 run (thus far), 7 hits, 5K, no walks.
Ryan Howard with a single moves Peel to third. Runners at the corners, 1 out, Ryan Howard at the plate.
Fiori faces just the one hitter. Righty Taylor Widener in to face Howard.
Howard ties the game with an RBI single to left.
Line drive single to left by Lester, but Jake Ring is thrown out at the plate. Perfect throw, great tag.
Bond strikes out. Tigers get four hits, but plate just one. They get it tied going to the 9th. Junior Breckin Williams coming out of the pen.
TOP OF THE NINTH
Williams gets two strikeouts and a grounder to second. Tied to the bottom of the ninth.
BOTTOM OF THE NINTH
Great play by the third baseman robs Lavy. Harris with a bloop single to left center. Winning run aboard.
Harris steals second. Throw was JUST high to allow him to slide under the tag.
After the steal, with a 3-1 count, SC opts to intentionally walk Logan Pearson. No. 9 hitter Case Munson now up.
Munson strikes out looking. Brett Peel now with the chance to play hero.
Peel strikes out swinging. We go extra innings.
TOP OF THE TENTH
Mizzou fans, apparently unfamiliar with the rules of this particular sport, are streaming out of the exits as the 10th begins. They may be unaware that when the game is tied after nine innings the teams continue to play.
Connor Bright leads off the Gamecock 10th with a line single to center.
A sac bunt moves Bright to 2nd with one out.
Intentional walk to Kyle Martin brings up Elliott Caldwell with 2 on, 2 out.
SC goes with a hit and run, Caldwell hits it up the middle, Peel cuts it off, tries to get the runner coming home and can't. SC leads 3-2. Runners at 2nd and 3rd.
Williams gets out of it with a come backer, but the Tigers are going to need a run to keep playing.
BOTTOM OF THE TENTH
Mizzou has Jake Ring, Ryan Howard and Josh Lester due up. If anybody gets on, it's Brett Bond, the team's leading hitter.
Tigers aren't done yet. Ring leads off with a line shot for his team best 9th double of the year. Follow that with a line shot single from Howard. Ring stops at 3rd. Tying run 90 feet away, winner at 1st. Nobody out.
Lester ties it up with a sacrifice fly to deep center on an 0-2 count. Have to think that was a mistake by the SC pitcher.
Bond up now, 1 out, GW run on 1st.
Bond pops up. Two out, winning run still at first. Hitter is Zach Lavy.
Lavy walks. Winning run in scoring position for Trey Harris.
Harris grounds it up the middle. Safe at the plate. Missouri wins. 4-3. Tigers are 5-0 in SEC play.
