By KP rating, it's the best we've had since Mike Anderson was in town. At #64 in KemPom's ratings with a defensive efficiency rating of 97.5, you have to go back to 2010-11 to find a better defensive team at Mizzou. Certainly not an elite defensive team, but getting back in the top 75 on the defensive end is progress. KA is getting something right, at least.
Unfortunately, we also happen to be one of the worst offensive teams in the country at #288 in offensive rating. If we had any kind of reliable scoring options at all, we'd have a shot to win some games.
If Jordan Barnett is the second coming of the baby Jesus and miraculously gives us some real scoring punch, the season could be saved if we keep defending like we have been.
