My Dad passed away today, six days shy of his 90th birthday. I grew up in Cass County, right on the state line. He taught me from early years about the utter disgusting-ness of kansas. He and I read Gabe’s dad’s articles and watched many a great game on TV together. While he never attended the university, he sent me there. He actually played football and basketball at Central Missouri State back in the day. One of the highlights of my youth was the time he drove me up to a scrimmage that the basketball team held up at Santa Fe high school in Alma. We loved sparring with ku fans in our part of the state. He was a generous, kind man. I’ll miss him so much.
