This isn't meant to bash him, just curious.
What good has he done since he's been here? I know he has to install his people and system, but the dude is a ghost.
Is he a leader? His actions so far don't seem to suggest that. This past fall couldn't have been handled a whole lot worse.
Obviously men's basketball is terrible, and it is terrible job right now, so I give a small pass on that. He better hit a homerun next year though.
Men's baseball is bad, and we sign the coach to an extension.
Now we decide to pick on the coach of one of our most successful programs in softball.
We hire a football coach who I think is a great hire, but I doubt it was his first choice and spend on a search firm to do it.
I have no idea how fundraising is going, but I can't imagine it's great. I know I'm doing the minimum this year, after being champion level the past several years.
Would love to hear others thoughts, and maybe I'm off base, but right now to me he looks like a pretty bad hire.
