Going back to the hiring of KA, I believe the cliff notes version of the story goes like this: Alden was allowed to pursue Greg Marshall but was told if he didn't bag him, he had to hire KA.
My question is this: if Marshall was plan A why, was Alden forced to forget about any plan B, C or D and forced to go straight to a plan E level hire? (Not trying to start a debate on KA here just assuming he would've been like the fifth person called in a normal hiring process.) In all likelihood KA would not have been Alden's second third or fourth choice. Who were the ones who forced this on Alden? Why would they force it on Alden? And why would Alden ever agree to such a scenario?
