If you get a chance, watch the Pete Maravich special on Monday night (8pm) on the SEC storied series on the SEC network. I was fortunate enough to see him play when I was in high school ( I was there when he broke the NCAA scoring record) and he was a phenom. The guy AVERAGED 44 points a game in college WITHOUT A 3 POINT LINE. Amazing story and amazing player. Do yourself a favor and watch the special. Back then, freshmen couldn’t play on the “varsity” team. We’d go watch him play as a freshman, then leave when the varsity took the floor. I’ve never seen anything like it and never will again.
