When Mark Smith left Illinois, Illini fans made his dad out to be the second coming of Lavar Ball. Mark has been here for going on two years now and we haven’t heard a peep out of his old man.

Were the reports just overblown sour grapes, or is Underwood’s well-documented struggle interacting with other humans really that big of an issue?
