when they had maty throw quickly the Offense moved, when they tried to run it up middle not so much. Maty's decision making is not what they expected and on the designed runs even with NO holes he tries to run which makes no sense, need to be option for him to bail and throw outlet pass to rb or te. Offense scheme is jumbled and inconsistant, josh doesn't seem to have a good idea of what to do. His qb still throws into crowds makes bad decisions, is not really a spread qb.

Logical to go pure spread with Lock at qb, line does decent job pass blocking much better than run. He is a much better thrower and makes better decisions even as a true fr. will staff go that way? doubtful as they have seen all thru camp that lock was better but just kept believing in maty would 'get it' and improve, which is understandable when you have had him for three years and a is their guy.

So we shall see, the change is inevitable but this is going to be mediocre year no matter what as your o line is just not getting it done. better for program if they went to younger guys as the seniors outside of mcgovern and boehm just arn't very good. Again hard to imagine they would do it but is only way to make season worthwhile. right now hard to watch this offensive futility.
