I am not saying in any way shape or form that Mauk shouldn't be our starting QB. Not at all. However considering that he is a Junior which means we have 2 more years of him at Mizzou, and we have a deep bench so to speak at QB it makes me wonder. Has there ever been a precedent under Pinkel where he would unseat a current starter for a backup. For instance, If Printz, Zanders, or Lock regularly outplayed Mauk in practice, scrimmage etc, would Pinkel unseat Mauk? Kind of what is going on at Ohio State right now except their situation is different because all three of their QB's played in games with success. I think they just moved one of them to another position.
Just curious if Pinkel will stick with Mauk whether he deserves the role or not? I guess this goes at any position too, but obviously QB is the most visible.
