This may have been said before, and if so, my apologies, but maybe the NCAA did us a favor.
Passion around Mizzou sports has been declining since 2015 and the AD and TSF seemed hard pressed to figure out how to turn this around. Yes, football is getting better, but people want more. Mens Basketball is improving, but after the hype of the Porter's was burst we were left feeling flat and like we were regressing (even though that is FAR from the truth.)
But now the evil empire has attacked Mizzou in a way that has caused many in the local and national media to come to Mizzou's aid. The narrative, for the moment, has flipped. Now we are the "victims" of an "unfair attack." And the argument holds some water... NOW is the time for the AD and the TSF to drive the message home. WE NEED YOU!!!
The AD is operating in the red and the NCAA is trying to take another $8m + from the Tigers. They are hitting us where it hurts in recruiting which will potentially cause us more loss... we (Mizzou) need YOU (fans/supporters/those who hate the NCAA) to stand with us so we can fight these unfair actions and make it through should we not be given a reprieve...
