Media stick for game tomorrow

Does anyone know anything about using media sticks? I've been looking at them and wanted to know if anyone has used them to watch ESPN before and how it went. I'm looking at getting a roku so I don't have to have it teathered to a device. Suggestions would be welcome. Thanks
