Had no clue who this guy was but saw he was from King City, played at Mizzou in the 50s and coached here from 1960-61 under Devine. Went to Arkansas under Broyles then to Notre Dame under Devine and ended up at OU under Switzer.
Was part of 3 National Title teams at 3 different schools (4 if you include the one Mizzou should claim from 1960). Looks like he was a career assistant but I was just curious was this guy ever a candidate at any point during our wilderness walk? Seems like his resume was at least as good as Powers, Woody or Stull.
