First off -I have nothing new on Liddell... well, at least directly on Liddell.
Will Shumpert (sp?) is apparently transferring from CBC to Belleville West to play with Liddell. He will be a senior. Some of you guys know more about his game than I do, but I don't think he will be a Mizzou prospect. I've also heard some rumors about a Hargove transfer to West and also possibly Yuri Collins transferring there as well. However, both of those rumors have lost some steam in the past few weeks...
...and this is a link to a story about the cancellation of the East St. Louis High School track season. It's a damn shame for the kids on the team that were not involved. They were probably on their way to a state championship.
But, this may give some of you an indication of why some of the kids from there don't pan out in college. It is a tough environment to grow up in to say the least. Terry Beckner Jr. is one hell of a determined young man.
