Purchase price was set at $95, Activision is currently trading at $75.
Recently Microsoft was blocked by a watchdog in the UK from completing the purchase, which caused a drop in Activisions' stock by 10%. The UK was worried about cloud gaming, which was surprising, considering most of the current lawsuits from the FTC are from Sony and Nintendo who are worried the purchase will give Microsoft the ability to take Call of Duty off of their platforms.
The deal isn't dead though as Microsoft continues to make deals that eliminate fears of monopolization, South Africa recently approved the deal.
Long term, I think the deal goes through, in my opinion it's a good buy with ~25-30% possible return once the purchase completes. Smart people made money on Twitter for example.
Also, Actvision is Blizzard, who is releasing Diablo 4 in June, which will have massive sales, which could boost the stock price in the short term.
Curious if anyone thinks the deal will ultimately go through or fail.
