Watched some of the Outback Bowl that I had hoped we would be in.
Mississippi State made many of the same mistakes or similar ones that we did and lost by 5 late on turnover of downs.
WR Guidry made a nice catch and ton of over 50 yds, but stumbled and was down at the Iowa 1. Three rushing plays lost a couple of yards, and the Bulldogs had to settle for a FG.
Then, Guidry again was the target and had a sure TD in the endzone, but dropped the pass into the waiting atms of a Hawkeye, who returned the INT far enough to get Iowa the FG that took the lead from 2 to 5.
MSU’s senior QB, trying to pull one out in his last collegiate game, couldn’t quit make it happen.
