No, of course not, that would be absurd. Mizzou had roughly 2500 African American students last year--they didn't suddenly lose 78% of them and go down to 550 enrolled. Actually, there were 78 fewer applications from African Americans versus last year.
The tweet is from Maria Chappelle-Nadal, member of the MO General Assembly from St. Louis. If you read the replies to the tweets, it's been explained to her that she is in error.
Everyone makes mistakes, but she refuses to take down the tweet. Anybody have a creative, good-natured method to get Maria to see the error of her ways? This is not meant to be political, but I hate to see Mizzou trashed to further a political agenda. Yes, 2015 was rough on me.
