Steve Bieser, entering his third year as Mizzou baseball head coach, was the guest speaker at the Tiger Club of KC today.

In his first two years leading the baseball Tigers, Coach Bieser’s teams have won 70 games, the first time the Tigers have done so since 2008-09 and the only time a Mizzou baseball coach has accomplished that feat in his first two years as skipper. Six Tigers off last year’s team were selected in the Major League Baseball draft, including Michael Plassmeyer in the fourth round by the Seattle Mariners, making him the third-highest drafted left-hander in program history.

Coach Bieser first became a head coach at the collegiate level in 2013 at Southeast Missouri. Prior to entering the coaching ranks, he played thirteen seasons of professional baseball after being drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in 1989.

The Club meets each Tuesday of the school year at the Westport Flea Market Bar & Grill. Lunch begins at 11:30 with the program beginning at noon.
