As some schools recruit Brayden Reilly to play linebacker at the next level, Missouri gave him an opportunity to play safety.

The Tigers offered the Class of 2026 defensive back Thursday after a pair of phone calls with safeties coach Jacob Yoro and offensive assistant Brendan Boylan, the area recruiter for Reilly's home state of Ohio, this past week.

"They seem like really good people," Reilly said, "and they seem like their team has really good culture within it."

Reilly named Missouri to his Top 5 after receiving his offer, putting the program on a list with Indiana, Minnesota, Northwestern and Wake Forest.

While Reilly admitted he intends to play whatever position a school asks him to, the trust to stay in the secondary stuck with him. Yoro, the first SEC staffer to offer Reilly, admired the athleticism of the 6-foot-3, 205-pound safety and how he was able to fill run fits his junior year.

"He told me he would see me as a rover, which is their backside safety," the Cincinnati (Ohio) St. Xavier defensive back said. "But (Cincinnati) told me I was their STAR position. I can see myself as that."

Reilly totaled 54 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass deflections this past year.

Reilly plans to visit Missouri in May or early summer for the first time. He already scheduled an official visit with Wake Forest for June 6-8.
