I met my Kathy sophomore year...we got married two weeks after graduating in 1980. She was a j-school grad. We left the area for a while...made a 13000 mile trip for homecoming coming back to the states. Once back, we got season tickets and would make a couple road trips a year. From our spot in Lot B she would hand out tigers to the little kids who ran to see her display. No kid ever passed without getting a Tiger to take to the game.
Just before Bama last season she was diagnosed with a very aggressive Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. We still went to Bama and started chemo on Monday. First kind didn’t work. Started a clinical trial in January. Last Wednesday we were told it also wasn’t working. Today, she passed away.
Her favorite was always Senior day to applaud the efforts of STUDENT athletes.
