-Gates said the runs were the difference tonight. He said they've got to get to the free throw line when they get into cold spurts and they weren't able to. It puts too much pressure on their halfcourt offense. He called Texas A&M a tough team to beat.

-Gates said Andersson Garcia having eight offensive rebounds made a big difference. "I don't remember when one of our guys had double-digit rebounds." Also said they gave up too many live-ball turnovers.

-Nick said he really just wanted to win tonight. He said Gates has been on him about being aggressive for a long time and got onto him during practice yesterday

-Nick said they missed Sean tonight but they've got to have the next man up. No one is going to feel sorry for them for guys getting hurt. Curt Lewis said he felt like Nick was one of the guys who stepped up.

-Gates said there were times when he had to get a fresh guy in, even if the lineup didn't make sense. He said because of the injuries they've got, they only had four guys who can consistently play on the perimeter. Said it shrinks the margin of error significantly when that happens.

-Curt Lewis called Mabor Majak's putback dunk "electric." Nick Honor called it a testament to the work he's put in and the type of guy he's been for the team.

-Buzz Williams said he hates that Mizzou is struggling because of how much respect he has for Gates. He said Mizzou being without Sean East tonight would be like Texas A&M playing without Wade Taylor IV. He said the personnel groupings didn't make as much sense without East. He said Honor had to be more of a ball-dominant guard tonight.

-Williams said he didn't know who Tamar Bates was when he hit the portal but thinks he might be the SEC Newcomer of the Year and an All-SEC player.

-Williams said Mizzou plays a very unique style. He called the Tigers an outlier in just about every category compared to the rest of the SEC. He said they are constantly changing how they cover ball screens, which makes it difficult to get ready for. He said when they prep for Missouri, the things they teach their players are solely for Missouri. He thinks the five-out offense is smart, but that the team's injuries have just never let them get in a groove. He thinks Gates' record last season speaks for itself and that he'll be able to right the ship once the team's healthy.
