As everyone knows, the Final Four is where a majority of the HC interviews take place. Whether it's for next year or just talking with potential prospects, I believe Mizzou will take advantage of the setting and will start the conversation with a handful of their top candidates. What typically happens is that the athletic director will reserve a conference room in a nearby hotel or corporate office buildings and will invite the coaches to attend at a certain time. The school makes sure they give the candidates at least a half hour in-between so that the candidates don't bump into each other. On an average day, a school might talk to 4 to five prospects.
I think it would be an interesting sign if both Loftin and Rhoades attends the event. Like I said, if could mean something big or it could just be the start to Mack building his shortlist (which ever AD has), but if both Loftin and Rhoades are there, I have no doubt conversations will be going on.
Let's just hope they're talking to all the right people.
