Mizzou will head to Kansas State to face a former Big 12 foe on Sunday. The Tigers will look to advance to the third round of the tournament, which will take place March 25-27 followed by the quarterfinal round March 28-30. Semifinals are scheduled for April 1-2 with the Championship game set for 2 p.m. on April 4. The championship round will air on CBS.

Last Time vs. Kansas State
The Tigers last welcomed the Wildcats to Mizzou Arena in 2012, winning an overtime thriller, 61-56. Senior BreAnna Brock led the way for Mizzou with her seventh double-double of the season, finishing with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Christine Flores also had an impressive day with a game-high 20 points and 7 rebounds. Liene Priede's three with 2.6 seconds remaining in regulation tied the game at 53 and forced the game into overtime.

Pingeton vs. Kansas State
Head coach Robin Pingeton is 1-4 against Kansas State, with all matchups coming during her time at Mizzou. The Tigers have not seen a win at Bramlage Coliseum since the 2005-06 season when the Tigers took hom ea 66-65 win over the Wildcats.

Scouting K-State
Kansas State is sitting on a 19-13 record overall, coming off of a first round WNIT win over Akron. This season marks the program's 18th postseason appearance, and the first under first-year head coach Jeff Mittie. The team is led by All-Big 12 second team selection Breanna Lewis who averages 11.5 points per game. Ashia Woods and Haley Texada also mark scoring threats for the 'Cats.

• The Tigers earned their first postseason win since 2003 on Thursday, leaving Northern Iowa with a 69-61 victory. Mizzou improved to 4-6 overall in WNIT play.

• Going into the SEC Tournament, Mizzou was riding a four-game win streak, which stood as the longest active win streak in SEC at that time. Mizzou has not earned four consecutive league wins since 2005-06. The Tigers' four wins to finish conference play mark the best regular season finish for a Tiger team since the 1984-85 season when Mizzou won 10 conference games leading up to the Big Eight Tournament.

•Mizzou's win over the 12th-ranked Aggies marks the first time the Tigers have defeated a ranked opponent on the road since Feb. 17, 2007 when Mizzou topped No. 19 Nebraska.

•WIth Mizzou's win over Arkansas, the Tigers improved to 7-9 in SEC play. Mizzou's seven league wins stand as the best record for a team in league play since the 2005-06 season when the Tigers finished Big 12 play 10-6.

• Mizzou earned a No. 7 seed in this year's SEC Tournament, marking the highest seeding since the 2006 Big 12 Tournament when the Tigers entered as the No. 4 seed.

• Mizzou's two seniors, Bree Fowler and Morgan Eye, have amassed 65 wins throughout their four-year careers. Mizzou has not seen a senior class with more wins since the 06-07 senior class who tallied 66 wins through four seasons.

• It's no secret that sophomore Jordan Frericks is Mizzou's weapon on the glass. She is averaging 9.7 rebounds per game and stands as the first Tiger to average almost 10 rebounds per game since Kesha Bonds averaged 10.1 rpg in the 1997-98 season.

• #RoadWarrior: In road games this year, Jordan Frericks averages an impressive 18.2 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. She accounts for 30-percent of the team's points and 27-percent of the team's rebounds in road games.

• In 31 games this season the Tigers have allowed just six teams to shoot better than 40-percent in a game. In fact, the Tigers have limited opponents to less than 37-percent shooting in 19 games, winning 15 of those contests.

• The 41 points Mizzou allowed Arkansas are the fewest that the Tigers have ever allowed in an SEC regular season game since joining the league. The Tigers also held Florida to just 47 points. Prior to that the the fewest points Mizzou allowed an opponent stood at 53 by Vanderbilt in the 2012-13 SEC Tournament.

• A big reason why Mizzou's defense has been so stingy is the fact that they are limiting opponents to 34.8-percent shooting this season, second in the SEC and the 10th in the nation.


• The Tigers have also made a living on limiting second-chance points this season. In 11 games this year, Mizzou has limited its opponent to single-digit second-chance points. The last time coming against Arkansas in Columbia, when the Razorbacks allowed the Tigers just six second-chance points. Mizzou averages 13.2 second chance points per game while only allowing opponents an average of 10.6.

• Mizzou has been getting it done with defense so far this season. In fact, in 19 of the Tigers' games this season, they have held their opponents to 60 or fewer points. Of course, Mizzou has won 14 of those 19 contests. Mizzou held its opponents to 60 or fewer points just 11 times last season. In fact, Mizzou has won 23 of its last 29 games when holding opponents to fewer than 60 points (dating back to the start of last season).

• The Tigers have gone hard on the glass this season, outrebounding opponents in 20 games so far this year. The Tigers grabbed a season-high 55 rebounds against UNLV on Nov. 21. Mizzou has tallied 50 or more boards in three games.

• Mizzou averages 29 defensive rebounds per game this season, a number that leads the SEC. That number is also good for 18th overall in the nation. Idaho leads the nation with 31 defensive rebounds per game.
