STORY QUOTES: “After those tough games it’s really hard to enjoy that kind of victory when there’s so much going on on social media,” said Sophie Cunningham, who initially announced she was logging off Monday. “There’s a lot of positives that came out of it, but there was also some negatives. For some reason it’s just human nature to linger on those negatives. Just as a whole, our team has never done it before, but we got rid of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and I think limiting that social media factor is going to help this team dial in and focus what we have in front of us for the next two months.”

Another former Tennessee player, Michelle Brooke-Marciniak, reposted the video and tagged Pingeton in a response.

“Your players are a reflection of You on the court,” Brooke-Marciniak wrote. “Players disrespecting opposing coaches is #Classless ... Your voice and #leadership matters in this situation ... One thing separates Bigtime coaches from average ones ... #class”
