Tennessee just survived a wild Auburn defense to advance to tomorrow against South Carolina. Missouri and Ole Miss are set to tip in about five minutes.

MIZZOU STARTERS: Cierra Porter, Jordan Frericks Sophie Cunningham, Amber Smith and Lauren Aldridge
OLE MISS STARTERS: Chyna Nixon, Bree Glover, Madinah Muhammed, Alissa Alston, Shelby Gibson

FIRST QUARTER:
Mizzou wins the tip. 18 seconds in and there is a foul. Porter shooting 2. She makes both. It's 2-0 with 9:30 left in the 1Q.

Ole Miss traveling violation, Mizzou ball.

Amber Smith layup puts Mizzou up 4-0. Ole Miss' Glover already has two PF.

Gibson layup puts Ole Miss on the board.

Smith gives a dime to a wide-open Frericks. Easy layup. Tigers up 8-2, 6:54 1Q

A three from Shelby Gibson ties it at 10. 4:10 left in the first quarter.

Frericks made 1-2 free throws, then Smith drains a three. Mizzou leads 14-10 with 2:53 left.

Ole Miss is doing a good job of double-teaming Cunningham. She has to really work to even pass the ball. But she does just that and Porter seals the jumper. Mizzou leads 16-10 with 1:26 left.

In fact, Ole Miss is doing a good job of defending everybody. Tigers having a hard time getting the ball in bounds.

END 1Q: MIZZOU 18, OLE MISS 14
Tigers are perfect 7-7 from the floor, but they've turned the ball over seven times. Cunningham has yet to take a shot, and she hasn't recorded a rebound or an assist yet either.

SECOND QUARTER
First possession of the second quarter is a turnover. This time on Aldridge.

Almost three minutes went by without a basket from either team. Smith ends that drought with a layup. 20-14 Mizzou, 6:54 left.

Chavis with a HUGE three, although some people here think she traveled. I missed it, but the refs counted it.

Ole Miss TO, 6:34 2Q: Mizzou 23, Ole Miss 14.

Smith really putting the offense on her back. Layup (assist from Cunningham) gives Mizzou a 25-14 lead.

Cunningham takes her first shot attempt... and misses a layup.

Tigers getting a lot of ball movement but it looks desperate. They're flinging the ball around and hoping it lands in a teammates hands. Ole Miss defense is stifling.

As I type that, Chavis drains a three.

Another shot clock violation on Mizzou. Tigers lead 28-18 with a minute and a half left.

Ole Miss block and then a three pointer cuts Mizzou's lead to 5.

HALFTIME: MIZZOU 28, OLE MISS 26.
Amber Smith leads all scorers with 11 points. Missouri has 11 turnovers, and Ole Miss is absolutely taking advantage of that. Rebels end the half on an 8-0 run.

THIRD QUARTER
First possession of the second half ends with a layup from Frericks. Mizzou leads 30-26.

There's Cunningham's first points of the game. Porter flings it to her downcourt and she makes the easy layup.

Cunningham makes 1-2 free throws, but gets the rebound. She misses the three-point attempt, though.

Not sure what they called Cunningham for. Didn't see the replay. That does give her three fouls though, so Chavis comes in for her.

Frericks swats the ball down on an Ole Miss shot, but Rebels get the rebound. Tigers are winning the boards only 20-18, which is an unusually small margin for Mizzou.

TV Timeout: Mizzou 35, Ole Miss 28

Frericks with another big block on a three-point attempt. She has two this half.

Amber Smith goes 1-2 at the free throw line. Tigers have a 10-point lead now.

Frericks misses both of her free throws. She can't be happy with that. And Alston makes a jumper to cut Mizzou's lead to 8.

Cunningham back in... and drains a three.

END 3Q: MIZZOU 41, OLE MISS 30
Still a defensive game thus far, but the Tigers are pulling away after holding the Rebels to just 2-17 from the field.

FOURTH QUARTER
Cunningham at the line for two and she makes both. Tigers lead up to 13 now.

Cunningham attempts a three and the ball is lodged at the top of the board. This has been a weird game.

Aldridge at the line now and makes both. Mizzou leads 45-32 with 6:20 left in the game.

Cunningham now has four fouls and is heading to the bench.

Missouri TO: Mizzou 47, Ole Miss 33

Aldridge three-pointer extends Missouri's lead to 17 with 4:40 left in the game.

Ole Miss is really trying to fight its way back into this. Two free throws and a long three-ball from Muhammed cuts Missouri's lead to 12 with 4:07 left in the game.

Cunningham to the free throw line and makes 1-2. Not making both is so rare for her.

Smith makes two, though. Missouri leads 53-38 with 3 minutes left.

Ole Miss TO: Missouri 55, Ole Miss 42 with 1:31 left in the game.

FINAL: Missouri 59, Ole Miss 50. Tigers have secured their first ever SEC Tournament win and will play No. 3-seed Georgia tomorrow night.
