For those that care, Mizzou is wrestling in the Cliff Keen tournament today and tomorrow. It's onFlowrestling, but you can also follow on trackwrestling.com
It's a premiere tournament with tons of highly ranked guys. Some big things (I think) to watch out for is how Erneste at 133 does. There will be 4 all americans in his weight class plus several other top-15 guys. Erneste has AA capabilities, and although it's never a good idea to make too many predictions this early in the year, we should be able to see if he's in the mix or not.
Eierman at 141 should make the finals. His weight class is not too deep this year, but he may face the guy that beat him for 3rd at NCAAs (Joey McKenna) last year. The dude from Illinois is there and Jaydin needed a big comeback to beat him, so that may be another match-up to look out for (if they face, I don't know the brackets yet)
Leeth at 149 will have some tough matches too, but not likely until later rounds. I think he's beaten everyone ranked below him, but Thomsen from UNI is very good.
Jacques has a chance to prove me wrong when I said he should have kept his RS. His weight class - 157 - is not really NCAA title contendor stacked, but probably one of the overall deeper wt classes. If he makes noise that bodes well for his progression through the year.
165 will be tough for Flynn.
Lewis should make the finals at 174, but will probably face a pretty good freshman from Nebraska or Lujan from UNI in the semis. Lujan has given Lewis trouble in the past.
I wouldn't expect much out of 184 and 197, but at HWT we may see Elam face fellow true frosh and world junior champ and next big thing Gable Steveson in the semis (if seeding holds).
