I still firmly believe it's a great time to be a Tiger and here is why:

1) Jim Sterk, potentially the best AD we have ever had.

2) HUGE improvement in the past calendar year and things seem to be trending up in both Football, and Men's Basketball, and with the University as a whole

3) Lot's coming back in Football...I think Drew stays and am really excited to see what our new OC can do with this returning cast. Defense made great strides and has exciting youung talent. Both kickers return. Schedule is tougher...but bring it on.

4) This basketball team has exciting potential and lot's of it is young. I think we keep improving and and the SEC Tourney is coming to St. Louis. If MPJr comes back? Don't even go there for now.

5) Lots of good things going out with the non-revenue sports...Women's Hoops, Wrestling, Tiger Baseball all show promise.

6) I really like our slate of Head Coaches and I think the vast majority of them really want to be here and are fully vested in this place...and this can not be overstated.

7) Facility improvements on the horizen...it will be exciting to watch them all come together.

8) No, we are not an Athletic "blue blood" in terms of dollars, facilities, fan support, back yard talent, ot tradition...but Mizzou is a GREAT school and Columbia is a great college town.

9) In case you missed it, these things in 2017 were a lot of fun for me:
A) Mizzou Baseball making History with a 20 game win streak
B) J'Den Cox making History
C) Karissa Schweizer making History
D) Beautiful new Softball Complex
E) Wildly fun and successful Mizzou Alumni Basketball game
F) Most exciting Mizzou basketball off season...EVER (from the outhouse to the Penthouse)
G) One of the greatest Football turnarounds in College football history...last several home games were a lot of fun for those of us who were there.
H) Norm Stewart's Statue un-veiling...FANTASTIC event for those who were there!
I) Mizzou Arena full and exciting again for the ISU opener.

10) Now that J'Mon Moore has used up all his eligibilty...there will be no more polarizing individuals on our Athletic rosters...and we can all root for every single Mizzou Athlete in perfect harmony.

In closing, IS Mizzou perfect and am I completely satisfied with the state of our Athletic Program? No and no.

Was there great improvement in 2017? Definitely

Are things tending up overall? They sure are in my eyes....but to each their own.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all...See you in St. Louis for the SEC Tourney.
