Trying to remember the last time we had such an anticipated weekend of Mizzou sports. Obviously, basketball and football have had much bigger games individually. But when was the last time both had home games that people were legitimately excited about in the same weekend?
Sure, the football team is simply fighting to get to Bowl Eligibility. It isn't like we are playing to go to Atlanta or anything. But I think this is the most excited people have been about the program (outside of preseason optimism) since September of 2015.
I can't think of anything that really stands out, though. The SECCG and UCLA basketball game in 2013 was a big day. But both of those events weren't in Columbia. Anyone have a better memory than me?
