Let’s all be honest here. Let’s say you have a son projected to go Round 1 in the NBA Draft in 2018. He will go Round 1 whether or not he sets foot on the College Basketball Court this season before the draft occurs. In addition your son had a recent back surgery this year, and seems to be healthy to play a couple more games before the draft takes place. What advice would you give your son? Would you tell him to go ahead and play for a inconsistent 9 Seed Team in the NCAA Tourney, putting himself at risk of losing one of the salaries below? I don’t want to rain on anyones parade, I think I would encourage my son to consider sitting out, and signing on the dotted line insuring his future was solid.
