1) I should never buy away game tkts from TSF. I was in the last row of 619. There was a smattering of MU fans up there to hang with but it was an awful place to sit.
2) We saw the difference between a program that has an average recruiting ranking of #5 vs #35 - the four and five stars do make a difference, just like every ranking analysis tells us.
3) We saw a team with completely new offensive and defensive schemes combined with new coaches; these changes will take a couple years to implement, not a couple weeks or months. Everyone wants us to be good right away but we need to recognize this evolution to new schemes will take some time.
4) LSU was a bad matchup for our team at this time. Obviously a hurry-up offense needs to put points on the board fast; when it doesn't happen, it's a hurry up 3 and out. Strong ball-control running teams will destroy us when that happens. If we don't get first downs and points from our offense, the Arkansas game could be similar.
5) I've watched the same games you have; how can anyone think that home games against KY and Vandy are likely wins - I don't think that anymore - I think they are toss ups. We've not played well in any road game, so where do the wins come from. We just need to be prepared that wins could be slim this year.
That all said, I'm not down on Mizzou football, I'm just now realizing what is going on here - its a three year evolution to completely new schemes. Schemes that will be fun to root for and fun to see play; I'm excited for the future. I'm just worried about this year.
