1. I fully expect to be ridiculed for this take by the board's self-professed and self-appointed genius's basketball minds but here goes. As a conservative estimate, I expect the various injuries have cost the team 4 to 5 wins.
2 There is a prevailing thought here that Gates Missed in portal this year, as I have tried to explain on multiple occasions here the Portal is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're going to get in my personal opinion
a coach should never take more than 3 transfers in a given year because for every Bates there is also the basketball version of Tim Couch so hopefully Grill and Tonje come back next year and we get a look at them as non-injured players.
3 I liked what I saw out of Butler and Shaw last night both will end up being contributors next year.
