I’ve been thinking about how everything has unfolded so far and this is how I see things:
1) the first few games the team played with confidence and an attitude then I believe the team became aware of the MPj situation and played lifeless and almost shell shocked...
2) I know it’s only been two games, but since MPj’s surgery I think the team now knows where they stand, what their roles are and what they need to do collectively to win.
3) FHCKA’s players are now a year older, experienced, they physically look better and are playing in positions and minutes more in line with their skills and ability.
4) Those same players have bought into all the changes that have happened and are playing with a chip on their shoulder.
5) HCCM’s defensive philosophy seems to already be taking hold. We look so much better on that end already.
6) The little fundamental things that MPs taught his kids seem to be exhibited by all the players
7) I had very low expectations for JP. Wow. This has to be a case where the JP playing with MPj as very different than the one playing without him.
8). I think the whole team is rallying around the loss of MPj and the narrative in the national media that has written this team off...
9). We are very early in this with very young players, so we are only going to get better.
This post was way longer than I thought it would be....
