It is a valid point. The NBA can't really be considered the World champions if they never really face the world! Maybe it's time to change the title to the US champions since the NBA isn't really set/ready to expand to the world stage.
It is interesting how we bolster about being world champs (in NFL, NBA and MLB) when there are no world leagues. While there are Pro teams in MLB and the NBA, I don't think that there will ever be a world league to the likes of which teams would span around the globe.
