Opening a national search for MU Chancellor - don't know what this means for Hank to shed the "interim" title
Dear University of Missouri-Columbia colleagues,
As we near the end of the semester, I want you to know that after consultation with President-designate Mun Choi, I am announcing the establishment of a nationwide search for the position of chancellor at the University of Missouri - Columbia. A role of such significance requires that we employ widely-accepted industry standards for filling the position.
Because Dr. Choi and I believe in the tradition of shared governance, instituting a national search for the MU Chancellor with a clear structure and process will honor and support that tradition. The process will include an opportunity for MU stakeholders’ voices to be heard. The first step is to assemble a search committee representative of the campus’ constituents. I am consulting with campus leaders regarding the composition of the search committee and developing a timeline for the search. I will update you throughout the process.
