Missouri has found premier talent at East St. Louis (Ill.) High before, and it's not done yet.
Rivals250 safety Charles Bass enrolled at Missouri this past week, but in the Class of 2027, the program set its sights on Raheem Floyd. Assistant head coach and cornerbacks coach Al Pogue offered Floyd during the Junior Day event Jan. 18.
"I really enjoyed myself at Mizzou this past weekend," Floyd said. "Very nice facility and staff. Close to home."
Missouri became the second program to offer Floyd, who already held a scholarship from Kent State.
"It's truly a blessing getting an offer from arguably the best conference in college football as a sophomore," Floyd said. "But with that being said more work needs to be put in and more dreams to chase."
Along with Bass, Missouri has Clemson transfer Toriano Pride Jr. as another East St. Louis product in its secondary. The Tigers also hosted unoffered East St. Louis juniors Kortez Rupert and Armaad Sharp a weekend ago, strengthening a pipeline to the Illinois school that also produced Luther Burden III.
