This always made sense to me. The NFL has been working on ways to make kickoffs safer for a few years now, and most of their changes have caused the kickoff to become an almost irrelevant play to the game. I'm not a big XFL fan, but the first time I saw their kickoffs, it always made sense to me for this to be adopted by BOTH the NFL and NCAA.
