HAYTI, Mo. — The Hayti Indians, behind standout Ivory Winters, rolled into the Class 1, District 1 championship game with 74-13 win over St. Vincent Friday night.

Winters scored a whopping nine touchdowns, scorching the Indians on touchdown runs of 7, 31 and 13 in the first quarter while adding a 77-yard touchdown reception and defensive fumble return all in the first nine minutes of play.

He added touchdown runs of 58, 46 and 73 in the second quarter as Hayti took a 56-7 lead into halftime. He added a 51-yard touchdown run in the third quarter for good measure.

For the game, Winters rushed for 291 yards and had 77 yards receiving while also adding 35 return yards. He set the school record for most points in a game with 54, breaking the old record of 44. For the season, Winters has rushed for 1,991 yards and scored 294 points.
