When it came to offering Terrance Smith, Missouri wanted the right guy to send it out.

Assistant offensive line coach Jack Abercrombie, the Tigers' recruiting savant for Pennsylvania, extended a scholarship to Smith on March 14. Smith, a Class of 2027 lineman from Lansdale (Pa.) Catholic, also calls the eastern half of the state home.

Smith grew up in the Wissahickon School District, 10 minutes down the road from where Abercrombie went to school.

"Having that PA connection was really cool," Smith said. "I think it will help build the relationship."

Smith played in the same league this past season as Missouri targets Gavin Sidwar and Grayson McKeogh, teammates at Wyndmoor (Pa.) La Salle College High School. Smith also knew of Missouri freshman quarterback Matt Zollers at Royersford (Pa.) Spring Ford.

"It's definitely cool to see people around me be able to see the same opportunities as me," Smith said.

Sidwar rescheduled his visit to Missouri for April 16-18 after weather altered his travel plans in late March, he told MizzouToday on Friday. The staff called him this past Sunday to reschedule before he locked in his first visit a few days later.

Defensive graduate assistant Cally Chizik continued his assistance in recruiting Tennessee underclassmen, offering Rivals250 cornerback Jarrell Chandler on March 20. Chandler found Chizik straight forward and relaxed, leaving a good first impression from Missouri.

The Tigers liked Chandler's 6-foot-3, 195-pound frame and instincts as a four-star defensive back. Although the drive from Knoxville, Tennessee, is 10 hours, Chandler is working on visiting Missouri for a spring practice.
