-Updates on a couple of guys: It doesn't look like Isiaih Mosley is here. Tre Gomillion said during his press conference that he's a game-time decision tomorrow but he did not go through practice with the team. Ronnie DeGray III did practice, albeit with a thick brace on his left knee.

-Utah State's practice was pretty light for the most part. Mizzou's was not. Gates had them flying around and they cycled through a ton of drills

-They started off with just some regular layup lines, pitching the ball to an assistant coach at the free throw line, getting it back and finishing. Gates then had them back up to halfcourt and run a give-and-go from the wings at full speed. Then they did the same give-and-go, but instead of driving to the rim, they went to the corner for a spot-up 3.

-They did a lot of 3-man pick and roll work. There's a ton of emphasis on relocating without the ball. Even if you're not the guy finishing off the initial play, the coaches are going to pass you a ball to shoot where you are. They hardly ever stand still.

-They also ran a lot of transition drills. They started off just going 3-on-2 against a couple of assistants on each end. But then Gates had them do a drill where two players get added in after every trip down. So it develops from 2-on-1 to 3-on-2 to 4-on-3 and finally 5-on-4. And obviously, the purpose of the drill is to use the numbers to your advantage and find an open look really early in the shot clock.

-They ended with a shooting competition. Kobe Brown, Noah Carter, D'Moi Hodge, Nick Honor, DeAndre Gholston and Jackson Francois were on the white team. Sean East, Mohamed Diarra, Ronnie DeGray, Kaleb Brown, Mabor Majak, and Ben Sternberg were on the black team. The team's had to make three 3-points from five different spots along the arc, run to the opposite end of the court and do the same thing there, then end it with a halfcourt shot. The white team got through their 10 spots first but got stuck at halfcourt. Ben Sternberg won it for the black team. They closed out with some free throws afterward.

-I have a really good story coming out later tonight and will have my usual game preview tomorrow morning. Gabe will have other stuff today, too, and we'll do our podcast sometime this afternoon. Be on the lookout
