Background: A whistleblower accused ABC of the following, and claims to have tapes proving it:
- Providing "sample" questions to Harris before the debate, which enabled Harris to memorize scripted responses
- ex parte communication with the Harris campaign
- Avoiding certain topics in the debate, including Biden's senility, Harris' brother in law's embezzlements, and Harris' woeful AG performance in California
- planned, one-way fact checks against DJT

When this was reported, the response anybody with a brain had was "duh" given what we saw in the debate. But, even with the compelling evidence of what we saw as well as the sworn statement, there wasn't proof.

Now, we get a classic non-denial-denial from ABC, which is the equal these days to a confession.

The ABC Statement: "ABC News followed the debate that both campaigns agreed on and which clearly state: No topics or questions will be shared in advance with campaigns or candidates."

This is a classic tactic where the accused denies something that sounds like what they have been accused of, but isn't actually what they are accused of. To the unsophisticated, this will seem like a denial, especially when framed by a compliant press. To those that understand how this works, it is properly considered a confession, because the accused would deny the actual allegations if they were indeed false. ABC wasn't accused of sharing topics or questions, they were accused of sharing sample questions.

So now we have the proof we need for a working assumption that ABC did what they were specifically accused of. I'd like to also hear the tapes, but nobody actually needs to hear them now given the ABC Statement to be sure enough that they did it.
