I was NOT a fan of hiring BO as head coach.
But we did, and he's our coach.
The sky is not falling, we just didn't like what we saw Saturday. Holgerson's team was well oiled and prepared. Our team wasn't. I found the coaching comparison Saturday to be very interesting. Holgerson LOOKED like a confident, experienced, coach. His team looked the same. Ours did not, but I think that will be one of the biggest improvements over the season.
Odom will get better, he's not an idiot. He's just raw.
We were hopeful, but our worst fears came true, and that is a harsh reality. We have a rookie coach who has some learning to do. He will literally improve with every game, we just have to hope it's enough to win some conference games down the road.
I think this team can still be decent. The offense IS better, and the WVU offense just might be really good. We still held them to a lot of field goals, which is typical of recent Mizzou defenses.
I'm hopeful, still, but I'm counting on HCBO to learn on the fly.
