It needs to happen. If they are really doing this for the reason that they state, player safety, then it needs to begin to be enforced on offensive players.
I just watched a Texas defender get knocked into next week by a Texas Tech runner who lowered the crown of his helmet directly into the side of the defenders head. Ugly play. It was worse than any targeting call that has been made in any Mizzou game this season.
