Since Barry got here, 1. we got there has been a lot of speculation. 2. We got Beckner even though we were on him long before Barry got here and he does want to play DE. 3. We got a TE signee with an almost immediate statement from him that he will be a DT. 4. A number of the DT recruit highlights that Gabe/Pete/Brian have posted show us recruits that are lined up on the outside as well as inside including Roy of today's story. 5. The Houston kid's video seems to also show the kind of quickness and feet of many of the '16 recruits. Most of those recruits also show, me at least in the highlights, kids that have good agility for their size and some lateral quickness. 6. At least one of those and I don't remember which as I didn't watch everyone completely, have some excellent strength and good frames to add some beef. 7. The move of Hatley around shows he has some of all that stuff.
The last big ?? in my mind is can Kul get someone to fill the middle. Augusta has to improve conditioning if he will be able to last out a game let alone a year in there.
It may not happen, especially for a couple of years to get these kids on board and some training, but who knows. One piece of evidence that I will watch for this fall is the occasional use of the 3 man line on occasion in certain situations.
