I'd think someone would be trying to make this happen. The short time frame being a logistical nightmare, maybe they want to make sure they can do it before announcing it. Possibly they want to wait until it's sold out before announcing it to encourage ticket sales.
It just seems like there is so much excitement to limit it to the 18,000 in attendance. The only reason I can think of for not wanting it aired on tv is if there is a funky format being presented that isn't like a real game.
