I've sent a request to the SEC for a statement on the handling of the end of the game. I know that Missouri asked Steve Shaw and the league to review not only that, but a number of other calls during the game. If I get an answer, I'll post it here.
You guys know me. I'm not a blame the refs guy. Refs almost never lose a game. And they didn't lose that one in the sense that I don't know if Missouri would have won the game if they did things correctly. But they took the chance away from the players to win it. They cost Missouri at least two snaps...and that doesn't even include any blown calls earlier in the game. Games should be decided by players. The officials last night, in my opinion, took that chance out of the hands of Missouri's players.
