About to head back to the frozen tundra but one thing I’ve not seen mentioned regarding the game.
This was a home game for Texas. Everything was about Texas (including the bowl name obviously).
Crowd noise IMO was a big factor especially coming out of the end where the Texas band was. The stadium gets really really loud. It was clear, at least to me, when we were penned up inside the five we were having big issues with it.
I know it’s an excuse but it was real.
