I'm just going to kind of post what I see as we go here. Team just took the floor. I can confirm that Axel Okongo is a human being that exists. There are about 100 people in the stands.
Crowd has probably doubled in the last few minutes. Up to 200-250
Right now they're just shooting around and doing some drills. Tough to tell much other than Okongo is very tall and Tilmon looks like he's in the best shape I've seen him in since he arrived. Also, any baby fat that was on Kobe Brown from pictures I saw of him as a recruit appears to be gone. He's definitely leaner and more fit than he looked a few months ago.
I don't think we're going to see Okongo shoot the ball outside of the lane. The shot definitelly needs a good amount of refining.
McKinney is standing next to Pinson and I'd say Pinson has about an inch on him. I'm not sure what they list either one of them at. McKinney is thicker, but I'd say Pinson is an inch or so taller.
Just watching these guys go through drills I think it's safe to say this is the quickest and most athletic team Cuonzo ha had here. We'll see how that translates to the games, but he's got a good number of guys who are pretty agile and can handle it.
Not sure there's going to be any actual scrimmaging, which is where it would be easiest to make some observations, but we'll see.
Lot of one on one stuff. They're mostly matching up guards vs bigs. Mario McKinney is a dude that just battles. You could see this in high school and AAU ball, but he's got a motor that doesn't quit.
Breaking up to shoot free throws now. Definitely not going to see any scrimmaging or anything.
Honestly really pretty difficult to draw many conclusions at all with what we're seeing.
