Sort of related to Mizzou in that the masses here in Tuscaloosa are demanding the same coaches that Mizzou fans wanted a year ago - Marshall and Howland. There are also rumors floating around that Alabama is willing to pay big bucks for a name coach - 4 million or more. A few other names floating around are again, similar to Mizzou's rumors a year ago - White from La Tech, the W. Kentucky coach (Alabama ties) and Underwood from SFAU who put together another excellent season.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if they can lure a big name. Granted, Bama will always be a football school, but there is more interest and support ($) for basketball than many outsiders might think.
