a play in a college game earlier his season. The review of the too many men penalty on Auburn in the 4th quarter brought it to mind. The 4 Bama players moving on the same play when the ball was snapped could not be reviewed.
I think it was a highly rated team losing a close one late. They turned the ball over (think it was a pick). During the replay the official ruled that there was a penalty on the defense before the turnover that negated it. Normally the penalty that was called during review is not one that is reviewable. However, according to the announcer, there is some kind of stipulation in the rules that states that if something egregious is missed and then caught during review it can be called. I cannot remember which game it was or all of the specifics. Anyone remember this?
