Last night, while watching my Dallas Cowboys, I found myself feeling like I was watching Mizzou. Offensively, we've got similar components and execution....in addition to a QB who has the propensity to cause spikes in blood pressure. I also saw a complete abandonment of the ground game. Therefore, I'm wondering a couple things:

How much more efficiently would the offense run if we had an underneath receiver like Cole Beasley or Julian Edelman? It seems we're throwing flags, posts, deep outs, or nothing at all. Maty has no semblance of a drop back motion, so I'm wondering if that's the result of the calls, or the calls being the result of the mechanics. I rarely see the kinds of slants and crossing route combinations that would get the ball out of his hands more quickly....or before he does the wrong direction ballerina spin. With an offensive line that is still trying to find its way, I'm curious as to why we're not getting the ball out quicker, as with the screen game. I think Nate Brown can be that guy....like Terrence Williams. He can go deep, but he can also work the chains and do the dirty work. Was Johnathon Johnson supposed to be the underneath playmaker?

Long story short....what changes can we make to the passing game, to make it more efficient and less reliant on deep balls? I love seeing Culkin involved, and think he'll be critical. We don't have tailbacks in the passing game, so I'm wondering what tweaks we can make.
